The UNDERWATER SIGNAL PROCESSING & SONAR system is a high-performance, PC-based platform for analyzing and processing underwater acoustic data. Designed to work on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, the system supports real-time and post-processing operations such as beamforming, time-series analysis, wideband and narrowband signal processing. It allows users to configure array geometries (rectangular, cylindrical, or arbitrary), visualize beam patterns and directivity indices, and apply advanced acoustic signal filters (low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass) for precise data interpretation.

A built-in ship and engine database enables acoustic signature comparison and target classification, supporting research, naval, and surveillance applications. Additionally, velocity estimation via Doppler shift and Lloyd’s Mirror effect enhances operational utility. The intuitive interface, extensive configuration options, and support for multi-channel data make the system a cost-effective and robust solution for underwater acoustic research and sonar development.

  • Perform beamforming for multi-channel acoustic arrays with customizable geometry: rectangular, cylindrical, or arbitrary formats
