Underwater Transceiver System – TM06SW

The Underwater Transceiver System is for digital calibration of underwater acoustic transducers used in underwater applications such as ocean bottom profiling, underwater telephony etc.

Special techniques have been employed taking into consideration various requirements of calibration principles, limitations of water medium, frequency range of operation and type of parameter to be measured.

System includes:

  • Two equipment racks: Main rack and Slave rack
  • A laptop constitutes for calibration of test / reciprocal transducer.

  • Operate in two modes: Hydrophone Calibration and Communication Testbed
  • Calibrate hydrophones using Reciprocity principle from 10 kHz to 100 kHz with up to 1000 tone-burst frequency points
  • Execute test workflows via user-defined procedures with step sequencing and logic controls
  • Control transmit/receive chains with configurable frequency, amplitude, waveform, and phase parameters
  • Generate signals using digital and analog modulation schemes: QAM, FSK, AM, FM
  • Record acoustic data in real time with channel selection and level monitoring
  • Analyze signals using built-in tools: spectrogram, FFT, and A-scan visualization
  • Convert data across formats: .wav, .txt, .dat, .bin for flexible I/O processing
  • Log results to structured SQL database and export reports automatically
  • Integrate with industry-standard hardware: E&I 2100L, Krohn-Hite M7500, Etec B2204RC
  • Run on Windows with NI LabVIEW Runtime, DAQmx, and Modulation Toolkit dependencies
  • Support both calibration and communication testing
  • Ensure accuracy and repeatability in measurements
  • Enable full control of acoustic transmit/receive chains
  • Improve signal acquisition and analysis efficiency
  • Enhance data handling, integration, and traceability
  • Simplify deployment and hardware integration
