TECAL-50

TECAL-50

The TECAL-50 is a Sonar Test and Calibration System designed to test, calibrate, and simulate naval sonar systems, used by naval and defense organizations.

It operates by receiving, processing, and transmitting underwater acoustic signals, both active and passive, utilizing a modular system: a transducer unit, control station, application software, and user manual.

The TECAL-50 is designed for installation on both small and large vessels.

  • Transmit wideband acoustic from 300 Hz and 50 kHz
  • Simulate a realistic sonar target using adjustable time delay, Doppler shift, and multi-echo target highlights.
  • Support active repeater, passive noise, custom signal playback modes, and signal types.
  • Process high-precision signal integrated 16-bit A/D and D/A converters, and DSP filters.
  • Measures sound pressure levels and underwater acoustic signals using a built-in M36 hydrophone with a preamplifier.
  • SPL Calibration and Sensitivity Calibration modes.
  • Rugged, Submersible Transducer Unit comprises 1 bender and 2 spheres, operable at depths up to 200 meters.
  • Controls all functions through a user-friendly GUI with real-time analysis and GPS integration.
  • Field-Ready Deployment Package includes 250m cable, winch, and pressure compensation tank (optional) for deep-water operations.
  • Provide hull-mounted sonar (HMS), embedded sonar, and towed array sonar to calibrate sonar system performance.
  • Enhance sonar system reliability through accurate simulation and calibration
  • Train sonar operators using realistic, controllable underwater target scenarios
  • Validate acoustic system performance in both lab and field conditions
  • Easily configure and operate through a software-driven interface
  • Implement anywhere with ruggedized hardware and portable design
  • Align with naval sonar testing requirements using proven and validated tools
