BC 311 underwater/threaded hydrophone — reversible hydrophone without an integrated amplifier; used as receiver and transmitter tool; wide-band analysis of poor signals; observing the long-distance propagation of acoustic signals; version options: underwater (immersible) or threaded. Hydrophone BC 311 is a robust spherical compact hydrophone for absolute measurements of the sound spreading in actuating medium. The hydrophone has first-class characteristics in all geometry directions. It has omnidirectional characteristics in angular range, 270° wide in the x-z plane, and 360° in the x-y plane. PURPOSE: MEASUREMENT — sound spreading in water; ultrasonic in a liquid medium; noise in wet and polluted media; sound in liquid and gas medium (laboratory and factory). APPLICATION — as calibration standard; as sound projector. OBSERVATION — marine mammals sounds; cavitation processes.
